It happened inside the Sears at Manchester Center, around 6:20 Saturday evening.
Police say the loss prevention officer was stabbed after he tried to confront a shoplifting suspect. Investigators were seen inside the store Saturday night, looking for any evidence that could lead them to the teen.
The employee was taken to the hospital, but is said to have suffered non life-threatening injuries.
