The Chicago-area home where 8-year-old Kevin McCallister outwitted the bad guys in "Home Alone" has been sold.

The 14-room Winnetka, Ill. house was used for the filming of the movie in 1990. The owners had been asking for $2.4 million, but after a year on the market, they settled for $1.6 million.

In addition to the exteriors, the filmmakers used the home's kitchen and main staircase in the movie.
