Super Bowl Champ Bear Pascoe returns home

The former Bulldog tight end stopped by Granite Hills High School in Porterville which held a "Bear Pascoe Day" to celebrate their alumnus' achievements.

Pascoe had an active roll in the Giants' postseason run, playing both fullback and tight end. He told Action News it's great to be back at his old stomping grounds and talking to students.

"Try to send a positive message of kind of following your dreams, and not being afraid to go out and get what you want, and talk about try to tie my ties in with Granite Hills, and what my dreams were when I got here and to just enjoy life enjoy the moment," said Bear Pascoe with the New York Giants.

"Just hearing his story it's pretty amazing inspiring to a lot of kids here," said student Clayton Congdon.

It was a big day for Pascoe. Not only was his Super Bowl win celebrated, but school officials also surprised him by bringing back some of his old Grizzlies teammates. And, top things off, they also retired his high school football number -- number 4.
