Drivers in Fresno are paying about $4.27 a gallon. And the north and south Valley average is the same -- about $4.30 per gallon.

Glynnis Hubbard is working on her masters in speech language. She's in Fresno on an internship. And while San Diego is home, the pain at the pump, forced her to stay in the Valley this Spring Break. "It is frustrating because I do work really hard when I'm at work and I'd like to go enjoy myself for the weekend somewhere but unfortunately it is too pricy at the moment."

And Glynnis isn't alone, according to our Exclusive Action News Poll Conducted by SurveyUSA... a mere 31% of 18-34 year olds are travelling... 68% decided to stick around.

Another 65% in that same age group say gas prices have caused them to cancel or change their plans. And like Glynnis, we've all been watching the steady climb at the pump. "Yeah it was kind of a shock when I first arrived in January it was under four now it is upwards to five weeks later"
