FRESNO, Calif.

State inventory numbers show the total marketable crop will produce almost 10 million seven pound trays. So far this year, 80 percent of California's kiwi crop has been shipped across the country and all over the world. Ag experts say total shipments are on target to make this year a successful one.

California ships 77-percent of the world's kiwi supply, followed by Mexico and Canada.

You could soon to pay less for vegetables at the local grocery store.

A new report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture predicts vegetable prices will be at lower levels than last year. The report suggests strong supplies of vegetables are behind the low prices. Prices for most vegetables in 2012 are down by as much as 50 percent compared to prices in 2011.

The two crops with the greatest dip are tomatoes and iceberg lettuce.
