Fresno parks heavily used on Easter Sunday

FRESNO, Calif.

The City of Fresno Parks Department says typically Woodward and Roeding Parks are heavily utilized on that day.

At times usage has been so great that traffic has caused gridlock within the parks and forced the temporary closure of these facilities.

The Parks Department together with the Fresno Police Department is encouraging parks users to minimize the number of vehicles used to transport family and friends to the park.

The entrances to the parks will be opened and staffed beginning at 6 a.m.
