The shooting happened right before midnight at an apartment complex on Cambridge near Teilman Avenue. Officers say a man knocked on the door of an apartment unit and opened fire on the man who answered.
The man was taken to Community Regional Medical Center were he later died from his injuries.
The shooter ran away from the scene. It's not yet known why the man in the apartment was targeted or whether the shooting was gang related.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
