Officials say neighbors noticed smoke and flames just before 9 a.m. and called 911. When fire fighters arrived they found the back of the home fully engulfed.
Investigators say the fire grew quickly and they were delayed in fighting it because a car was parked in front of a fire hydrant.
Eight people were displaced by the fire. The cause is still under investigation.
