The protestors dropped their lawsuit against the county over free speech rights. The settlement allows "Occupy Fresno" to hold three overnight protests a year. The county must also pay over $37 thousand in legal fees. Protestors have been at Courthouse Park for 246 days.

Mike Bridges said, "We defeated unconstitutional ordinances and succeeded in voiding 105 arrests that were never filed."

Henry Perea said,"when our law folks tried to settle it from a law enforcement perspective and they failed it ended up costing taxpayers well over 300-thousand dollars."

Perea believes the settlement was fair but he expressed concern Courthouse Park was becoming a large homeless encampment.
