Parts of Central California were still seeing scattered rain just before noon on Thursday. Light sprinkles were falling in the foothills and some areas of the North Valley.
A brief but intense shower rolled through the Downtown Fresno area Thursday morning. Commuters had to deal with wet roads on their way to work.
The rain also created a beautiful show of rainbows in the heavens. One huge double rainbow was seen over Southwest Fresno early Thursday morning. ABC30 viewers also called in reporting other rainbows all over the Valley.
Shower activity for the Valley was wrapping late in the morning. The Valley may see mostly to partly cloudy skies Thursday afternoon with highs near 90s degrees, if the clouds clear out. If the clouds stay, then highs will be in the 80's.
The foothills and the Sierra still have a chance of thunderstorms for this afternoon and early evening.
