Strong pear demand may lead to higher prices

A strong demand for California pears is expected to raise prices at the grocery store.

California ag officials say rain and cool weather during pollination reduced their crop by 20-percent this year. The Golden State may be dealing with a drop in volume but the decrease is not as devastating as it is in other states.

Ag experts say the increased demand for the fruit might also mean higher prices at the grocery isle.
