Central Valley Meat in Hanford issued a statement Sunday night saying the U.S.D.A. accepted its plan of action and the business is free to re-open.
The company was accused of animal abuse after an animal rights group released undercover video last week. U.S.D.A. inspectors audited the animal welfare procedures at the slaughterhouse on July 24th -- just a few weeks after the video was taken.
The company says it will provide better training for its workers, better monitor its facilities and have third-party audits more frequently.
