Online almond program

FRESNO, Calif.

The Almond Board of California launched the program aimed at documenting and comparing practices that yield the best results in the field. The program also provides learning and sharing opportunities for growers.

Ag officials say the cooperation is crucial to highlight achievements in the industry to public policy makers, food companies and consumers.

Right now about 800 growers are taking part in the program. That's about 12-percent of California's almond growers.
