FRESNO, Calif.

The downtown Fresno fundraiser ended about 7 p.m. Action News spoke with many of the guests who say they left the event more excited about the election that they were showing up here.

Paul Ryan's plane flew into Fresno Yosemite International Airport Saturday afternoon.

Action News has learned he spent some time touring the Fresno area before showing up to the fundraiser. Guests say he spoke for about 20 minutes. Much of his speech focused on the economy. He also talked about how close of an election this will be.

Protestors also showed up for the event. Many Democrats and Progressives say they wanted to voice concerns over Medicare and Social Security.

The Romney-Ryan campaign says about 400 people attended the fundraiser. Tickets were going for a $1000 a person and $25 thousand for a table.
