'Dogs struggles on 3rd down

The Fresno State Bulldogs will have to cash in on red zone opportunities and they'll have to convert on third down if they plan on beating Colorado this weekend.

The 'Dogs spent time at practice Wednesday doing just that.

Against Oregon last Saturday, the offense only converted 2-16 on third down, killing drive after drive after drive.

And on the other side, the Ducks converted 9-17 on third downs, extending drives and putting up points.

Dogs head coach Tim DeRuyter says adjustments will be made this week.

"Absolutely. There's a combination of things, you wish it was just one thing you could correct. But it was a combination of things and today we're going to have a third down period in the red zone period. So we've got to get better at both." said DeRuyter.
