Concert aims to help Tower District bike theft victims

FRESNO, Calif.

Nine different bands entertained the crowd during this fundraiser in the Revue parking lot near Olive and Echo.

The crowd also checked out several vendor booths.

And Mike's Community Bike Rescue collected old bikes, frames and parts to replace ones that have been stolen.

"It's a constant thing now. We're getting messages all of the time from people who get their bikes stolen. It's a real problem in the Tower. I really suggest buying a u-lock for your bike because cables don't work. They'll cut it in a minute," Community Bike Rescue founder Michael Brandon said.

If you have an old bike or parts you'd like to donate to the organization, more information can be found on the group's Facebook page.
