Runners hit the streets of downtown Fresno

FRESNO, Calif.

Sunday was the 30th year for the Cross City Run, which raises money for Saint Agnes Medical Center.

There were several races including a run for kids while adults took part in a 2-mile run/walk or a 10k.

A group of kids also ran to raise money.

The little ones chose between a one mile, half mile or quarter mile race.

"It's grown over the years and we look forward to continuing to grow and have it again next year. And raise funds and a awareness for the community and this hospital," Austin Ewell of the St. Agnes Men's Club said.

The event is hosted each year by the Saint Agnes Men's Club. Organizers say the roughly $25 thousand raised this year will benefit the hospital's patient care and community outreach programs.
