Dozens of people showed up to R & R Auto in Fowler Saturday to donate to the cause.
The boys, identified as David Trejo, Isiaih Vasquez and Joseph Sarabia, were on their way to school when the Saturn they were riding in collided with a Toyota at the intersection of south and McCall near Fowler
The CHP says the driver of the Saturn was speeding and no one was wearing their seatbelts.
"As you could imagine the mother and grandmother of these boys who lost their lives are distraught. They family is going to need help getting back up on their feet. They're going to need help paying for the funeral expenses and the time lost in work to help support the family and keep them all together," family friend Angelina Cazeras said.
Three others survived the crash including two from the Saturn and one from the Toyota. Their conditions are not known.
