Car crashes into Fresno 7/11, pins worker

FRESNO, Calif.

The crash happened in Southeast Fresno at the intersection of Church and Chestnut. Surveillance video shows a white Dodge Intrepid speeding into the store on Wednesday. Police estimate the driver was going at least 35 miles an hour when the crash happened.

Investigators say the 91-year-old driver told police she was backing up when she got confused and somehow ended up putting the car in drive.

A worker inside was pinned in by the store's shelves, but only suffered minor injuries. The driver was treated and released at the scene.

Store managers say just minutes before the crash, several school children had been in the store, but they left right before the crash.
