FRESNO, Calif.

It happened near Highway 99 and McKinley.

Paramedics arrived on the scene soon after an officer involved shooting wounded a man near McKinley and Highway 99.

Officers got a call about a car crash in the area at about 12:45 Saturday.

When they arrived they found this crash and a man with a gunshot wound.

"I did hear two gunshots and I looked over the fence and we had police officers drawn up on the car and the car was off on the side of the road," Turgeon said.

Police will not say what caused the original crash or what led them to fire on the man but those who were nearby the shooting are still shaken up.

"It was pretty intense, I didn't know what to do," Turgeon said.
