A new report from a Fresno research group shows sales of berries will go up 7-percent per year over the next three years. But the report also shows California berry growers will face several challenges.

Researchers say escalating production costs, low resources, and foreign competition will likely affect profit. Right now, 88 percent of the country's fresh strawberries and significant portions of fresh blueberries, raspberries and blackberries are grown in California.
