Regulators: Calif grown fruits and veggies are safer

The California Department of Pesticide Regulation claims most sampled produce shows no detectable pesticide residues. Ag officials say residues that were detected generally fell well below allowable limits to protect public health.

Researchers say 98-percent of almost 3-thousand samples had no pesticide residue or had levels within the allowable limits.
