Man arrested for unwanted sexual contact at Fresno State

FRESNO, Calif.

Fresno State Police Officers say 48-year-old Fidel Isaac Tafoya inappropriately touched a female student at a desk inside the main campus library on Sunday -- while it was packed with students. Investigators say the student told police about the contact and officers arrested Tafoya minutes later.

Police say Tafoya is a registered sex offender listed on the Megan's Law website. Tafoya was arrested for sexual battery and providing false identification to an officer.

University officials say no other students were in danger. According to the Megan's Law website, Tafoya pleaded no contest to lewd acts on a child back in 2009.
