The busy harvest period for nut growers in California has ended.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture reports most walnut, almond and pistachio harvests are complete, with the exception of a few late walnut varieties in Northern California. Nut farmers are now focusing on pruning trees for the winter.

Beekeepers are also preparing. They're brining beehives into the state for next year's bloom and pollination period.
