Bulldogs gearing up for Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl

FRESNO, Calif.

The Fresno State football team is going through its final walk-thru before tomorrow night's big game but they started out Sunday with just a little bit of fun.

They grabbed a quick bite to eat and then played games, signed autographs, and took pictures with little kids at Dave and Busters in Honolulu.

Slowly but surely they met new Bulldog fans along the way.

Cameron Norcross is in charge of the offensive line and says his family has enjoyed themselves like all the other Fresno State families in Hawaii.

And they'll have the support of the Red Wave. Arpie and Ted Dick made the trip from the Valley and told us the difference between this bowl game, and the last trip Fresno State took to Hawaii for the Aloha Bowl back in 1993.

Now the Fresno State football team had time for a charity visit at a local hospital. When they finish with their final walk-thru there's going to be one more pep rally where head coach Tim Deruyter will speak to the Red Wave.

With the players off limits to the media, Action News Sports Anchor Tommy Tran continues to hunt down Bulldog coaches for inside information ahead of the big game.

Here's what you need to know before kickoff: Fresno State takes on Southern Methodist Monday at 5:00pm Pacific. The game will be shown on ESPN, and will be the only game on television, college or pro, all night.
