Winter rains are a harbinger for a great restoration season. This year the Stewardship Program will be focusing efforts on the Hallowell Ranch located close to the Madera entrance of Millerton Lake State Park. We will be planting along Little Sheep Creek, which drains into Cottonwood Creek, a historical salmon stream.

The Stewardship Program will be planting cottonwoods, willows, oregon ash, sycamores and native grasses along the riparian corridor of Little Sheep Creek. Volunteers are needed to assist in the planting.

Directions: From Fresno-Take HWY 41 North to HWY 145. Turn right (East). Hwy 145 will turn into O'Neals Road (Road 211) after the first stop sign. Please stay to the left.

A volunteer will be at the entrance to guide you to the restoration area.
