The Fresno Fire Department is investigating two arson fires within just three hours of each other.

The first blaze started just before 5 p.m. Friday at a home on Goldenrod near Ashlan Avenue.

Crews contained the flames in less than 15 minutes, and no one was hurt. But the fire caused $30,000 in damage.

Officials say the second arson fire started around 7:30 p.m. Friday at an apartment on Pleasant near Fedora Avenue.

A witness reported seeing smoke coming from the attic vents. Crews contained the flames to one bedroom, and the damage is estimated at $5,000.

Investigators are now looking for suspects in both cases.
