Financial struggles have led to the layoffs of 19 employees at Corcoran Hospital.

Officials say the cuts were necessary because of cash flow issues and because of a change in patient volume. Among those laid off were executives and middle managers.

With the layoffs, the hospital is able to save $800,000 in wages and benefits preservation. Officials say these cuts will not impact patient care.

Over the past two years, 24 Corcoran Hospital employees have lost their jobs.
