Students at Lone Star School in Sanger held a birthday party on campus this morning to celebrate the work of Doctor Seuss.

Action News reporter Corin Hoggard spent some time at the school's library, reading Horton Hatches an Egg. He was just one of several guest readers at the school today.

This event is part of a nationwide program called: "Read Across America" which helps teach kids the importance of reading.

It's celebrated every year in conjunction with the birthday of Dr. Seuss, which is actually this Saturday.
