Authorities say the shooting happened Sunday night in Madera on Ellis Street near Road 27.
Investigators say 34-year-old Shaun Foster and a female friend were sitting and talking outside a home, when someone drove up and opened fire. Multiple rounds were shot, and both victims were hit.
Foster died at the hospital. The woman's condition is unknown at this time.
No arrests have been made, and authorities are now asking for the public's help to find the shooter.
