A security camera above a car yard in Delaware captured video of what appeared to be a meteor. Hundreds of people took to Facebook and Twitter to report the blue-green light.
NASA says the sightings appear to be a "single meteor event." This one just happened to catch more eyes because it happened on a Friday night and because social media has provided a way for people to share the information.
Surveillance video in Virginia was caught by a dash-cam. It also captured a light flying across the sky above a crowded parking lot.
