Lawsuit filed to protect honeybees

FRESNO, Calif.

The Center for Food Safety is asking the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to stop the use of two pesticides they say harm honeybees. Those pesticides are used in the Midwest where many bees used for California's annual almond pollination are located.

The EPA has not commented on the lawsuit, but a spokesperson says it's working aggressively to protect bees and other pollinators from pesticide risks.
