A new tomato pricing agreement between the U.S. and Mexico is now officially in place.

In early February the two countries agreed in principle on a new deal setting higher minimum prices for most tomatoes imported from Mexico. This week, Mexican officials announced the deal is now in effect.

In addition to higher minimum prices, the deal also allows Mexican tomato growers to continue selling in the U.S. market.
