The accident happened near the intersection of Maple and McKinley Avenues Sunday afternoon.
A Fresno fire battalion chief tells Action News the large number of victims forced emergency responders to treat this as a mass casualty scene.
Firefighters say seven of the victims were classified as having moderate injuries, while two had minor wounds.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
