States try to lure California dairy farmers

Nearly a dozen states are trying to get California dairy farmers to move out of the state.

California's $8-billion dairy industry is the largest in the country. But because of high feed costs and low milk prices, other states are trying to lure farmers away. They're offering cheaper farm land, lower taxes, fewer environmental regulations and higher prices for their milk.

Among those states are South Dakota and Colorado.
