It happened near Ferger and Franklin around 10:30 p.m. Saturday. When officers arrived, they found a man in his 20's with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he died.
Police say the victim is believed to be a gang member, and they believe the shooting is gang related.
"We are investigating what type of caliber it is -- searching the neighborhood and canvassing the area for any possible leads," said Mike Doyle, Fresno Police Department.
Fresno police say they did see a number of people run from the area, and they are trying to get in contact with them.
