Tulare Regional Medical Center's board of directors will be discussing a plan to align itself with a major health organization or hospital. Administrators want to attract more doctors and get more financial support.
CEO of Tulare Regional Medical Center Shawn Bolouki said, "Future growth and facilitating maybe recruitment of physicians to this area because when you are a part of a bigger organization you have more resources available and there are a lot of valuables that it might be premature to speculate what would be the benefit to the community."
Right now the hospital is undergoing a $120 million expansion project, but recently eliminated more than 35 staff positions.
