It all took place earlier this evening at the Zimmerman Club in Central Fresno. 75 professional volunteers were paired with 75 young people for the evening.
The children were able to interact with an encouraging, responsible adult from their own community.
Sandra Dee Chaney of the Boys & Girls Clubs said, "Give them hope. Make an impact on their lives. A lot of the guys here are alumni. So they want to give back to their community."
The objective of the boys and girls club is to inspire kids to set goals in education and life. The organization also encourages adults to serve as role models and impact kids' lives.
