Man shot in his back while riding bicycle in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif.

The shooting happened at Modoc Street and Oleander Avenue around 3 p.m. Paramedics put the victim into an ambulance before rushing him to Community Regional Medical Center. Police say someone drove by and fired as many as ten shots. The man was hit in his lower back and arm.

He's in serious, but stable condition. Investigators are now looking for a car spotted near the crime scene.

Sgt. John Jensen said, "We do have one description of a white four door vehicle that was seen leaving the area... Or if it does in fact contain suspects."

Police say the victim was reportedly riding his bicycle to his grandmother's house at the time of the shooting.

They are investigating this case as a possible gang-related crime.
