Thomas, Wilson Taken in Day 3 of NFL Draft

FRESNO, Calif.

Draft experts considered it a surprise Thomas lasted until the third day, since he was projected to be as high as a second round pick. But Redskins beat writers are saying last year's national leader in interceptions still has a chance to start as early as this season.

Tulare Union grad Marquess Wilson also heard his name called in the seventh round, selected by the Chicago Bears. Wilson is expected to fight for a roster spot when camp starts later this summer.

Former Kingsburg high quarterback Tyler Bray was projected as high as a second round pick, with a cannon for an arm and NFL-ready size. But his name was never called, as questions about his maturity lingered.

Red Wave fan favorite Robbie Rouse has defied doubters his entire life, and he'll have to do it again to make an NFL roster, after going undrafted like Bray.
