Almond crops in California are expected to reach two billion pounds this year. The U.S. Department of Agriculture said that is six-percent higher than last year's production.

The volume will allow growers to keep up with a growing demand from all over the world. Ag officials say a cold winter delayed this season's bloom by about two weeks, but that's not expected to affect the crop.
