FRESNO, Calif.

While many of us tell mom we love her all year long, this Mother's Day may be the time to prove it with a present.

Mark Serrurier with Bed, Bath & Beyond said, "We're starting to see the shopper that has a bewildered look on his face trying as he's walking through what the perfect item will be."

And at Bed, Bath & Beyond the retail rush is on to get a gift for mom. One simple way to pick the perfect present is to focus on her favorites. From chocolate to crystal to spa treatments, there's a lot to choose from.

"The Keurig is definitely a big seller," said Serrurier. "One of my most favorite items in the store. The nutra bullet's a great thing too, people are getting very health minded."

According to a national retail federation study, consumers will spend an average of about $170 on mom. That's up 11 percent from last year.

About a third of shoppers will pamper mom by buying jewelry. Of course what lady doesn't love diamonds?

Over at Roger's Jewelry in North Fresno, sales associates have seen a steady stream of customers taking the time to order a special Mother's Day present.

"lt's a very emotional gift that emotional ties," said Kelly Martinez. "Not only is it timeless but it as a lot of pop."

There's also the Pandora jewelry line, where people can mix and match special charms to mark those special memories.

Retailers agree no matter how much you spend, if it's from the heart, it's a gift mom will love.
