Officers spotted a stolen car near Cedar and Barstow in Fresno. A chase then began, and ended in Clovis at Pontiac and Minnewawa.
Police say two passengers, a man and a woman, jumped out of the vehicle near Shaw and Clovis and were quickly arrested.
The driver continued to Pontiac and Minnewawa where he then ran into a home and hid in the garage.
Officers kicked down the door and found another man in the garage with the suspect. He claims he was held hostage, but officers have yet to confirm that.
The driver was then taken into custody. Both he and his male passenger are parolees.
