Locally, Clovis West's Harvard-bound Nikki Okwelogu won the girls' discus at 173 feet, nine inches.
Clovis North sophomore Mikaela Smith wins the 800 meters at a just over two minutes and eight seconds.
Ridgeview of Bakersfield's Ivan Gonzalez won boys 800 meters in just over one minute 50 seconds and change.
And Stockdale of Bakersfield's Blake Haney won two state championships in the 1,600 and 3,200 meter distance races.
