Summit helps people understand Valley real estate

FRESNO, Calif.

The Fresno Housing Alliance and The National Association of Hispanic Real Estate professionals hosted a homes and job summit at the Fresno fairgrounds.

About 40 vendors gave people assistance on how to keep their homes. They also gave information, on what should do if they are looking to buy a foreclosure.

" The challenges right now in the community is education. The foreclosures, the short sales, how to get a loan. There's not enough inventory so we need to educate the home buyers," said Olivia Hastings, Legislative Chair for National Association of Hispanic Real Estate.

The summit Saturday also offered resources for job seekers. Organizers say they have hosted smaller informational events in Fresno but this was the largest one so Far.
