Two men are in jail accused of growing hundreds of marijuana plants inside a vacant house.

Police went to the home on La Vida near Cain in Visalia for a trespassing call. They found two suspects and smelled marijuana coming from inside.

Detectives searched the house and found 435 pot plants in one room -- plus three bedrooms that were being converted into grow rooms. Investigators say the men also bypassed electrical meters to steal power for their operation.

Officers say the plants could have produced nearly $900 thousand worth of marijuana.
