Japan is set to start buying American wheat again

The country stopped U.S. wheat purchases several weeks ago after an unapproved genetically modified trait was found in an Oregon field.

However, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) conducted hundreds of follow-up tests and found no trace of the material in commercial wheat. The USDA now believes the Oregon case was an isolated incident, and Japan has agreed to start buying wheat again.
