Jury finds Jonathan Warren guilty of Paul Carranza death

FRESNO, Calif.

A jury found Jonathan Warren guilty of manslaughter, assault with a deadly weapon, and battery for the death of Paul Carranza.

Prosecutors say Warren was involved in a fight at Madera's Courthouse Park in July of 2013. After the fight Warren followed Carranza to a liquor store and punched him in the face.

The victim fell backward, hitting his head on the ground. The 57-year-old later died at the hospital. Warren's sentencing is scheduled for October 9.
