Mexico weather may help California nut farmers

Nut growers in California could soon get a boost, thanks to their counterparts south of the border.

Nut production in Mexico is expected to go down 75 percent this year following a series of hailstorms. That may be good news for growers in the U.S. -- especially in California.

California leads the country in nut exports, and those are expected to rise due to the lack of Mexican product.
