The doors to the Boys & Girls Club in Firebaugh remained closed Thursday afternoon.
The investigation into the club's director began last week, when a 13 year old contacted Firebaugh police to report unwanted messages from Torres via social media.
Neighbors in this small knit community say they can't believe the accusations.
"I've known him for quite some years already, so this is really a shock to us," said Rosa Gonzalez. "We don't want to believe that it's true. We're hoping it's just a misunderstanding."
